    hey Nicola,
    1.Switch on your Wireless printer. You can use the touchscreen in the wireless printer to join your wireless network.
    2.On the touchscreen, touch the right arrow key and press setup
    3.Select Network from the setup menu.
    4.Pick Wireless Setup Wizard from the Network list, it will search for the wireless routers in the range
    5.Choose your Network (SSID) from the list.
    6.Locate the WEP/WPA Passphrase for the network and press Done
    7.Touch OK to confirm the settings
    8.Touch OK to print a wireless report or Skip

    I just understand your following steps, but I have some trouble making a connection between the wireless router and hp Officejet pro 8720 printer so, can you help for this trouble

    Hey Nicola,

    First, check that your internet and connectivity cables connected correctly. And assure the router printer power switched on. Then print a network configuration page from the printer control panel and verify if it having any error mentioned in it. Keep in mind if the router frequency can also create a connectivity issue.
